Usually in February in Northern Norway you’d expect there to be plenty of snow, however this year the winter was a strangely mild and there was very little settled on the ground. There were still plenty of these cool wee ice pools though…so many in fact it was hard to traverse this area without crossing them. After the first time I fell down on the extremely slippery ice I changed into my waders and instead of walking, scooted around on my bum which both saved me any more painful falls and was kinda fun too!
